It is hard to believe that a whole year has passed since our last visit to the Gambia. So much has happened in such a short time...
A little update
We are now 6 schools in total, all of whom are fully resourced for every area of the curriculum. They recently received their final shipment which included lego and other construction equipment, additional P.E. resources, art materials, puppets, paper and of course, yet more footballs! All that will now be required are consumable materials that will need topping up annually such as pens, pencils, crayons etc. All our schools have running water, good working toilets, wash sinks, excellent playgrounds with swings and slides (which are freshly painted this year!) and gardens to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. Two of our schools have mains electricity, two others solar panels and the last two await connection.
